AHED is the Adult and Higher Education division of Peter Symonds College. AHED offers a diverse range of courses to suit all levels of adult learners, from introductory courses right through to full honours degrees, providing students with clear progression routes within their chosen subject area. Day and evening courses are available in vocational subjects such as Sport Therapy, Hairdressing & Barbering and Counselling (amongst others) as well as GCSEs in English, Maths and Biology.

AHED offers degree programmes that are designed to allow students to work alongside their studies, helping to keep costs down and allowing students to gain work experience. Attendance for our degree programmes is usually one day a week. Subjects include: Management & Business, Insurance, Sport Injury & Treatment, Early Years, Teaching & Learning Support and Counselling. These degrees are validated by Middlesex University and the University of Chichester.

This course is ideal for those who would like to progress to study at university as well as those who want to make a career change. These courses can be studied on a full-time or part-time basis (day or evening). Students can choose from a variety of diplomas including: Allied Health Professions, Health & Social Care Professions, Humanities, Humanities with Mathematics, Nursing & Midwifery, Primary Teaching, Science and Social Sciences.
