Appointments

The practice offers 15 minute appointments. Please indicate when booking an appointment if you believe that a longer appointment may be necessary. Appointments may be made by telephoning 01985 222648 (civil) or 94381 2648 (military) or in person at reception during normal medical centre hours. Please remember that each appointment is for one person and one problem. Ask for an additional appointment if you require other members of your family to be seen or you have more than one problem to discuss.

Booking an appointment well in advance will allow the receptionist the greatest flexibility in offering an appointment with the doctor of your choice and at a time that is convenient.

If you cannot keep an appointment please let us know as we can offer this to another person. If you require to be seen urgently please state this to our receptionist and we will assist you appropriately.

Help us to help you by arriving in good time for your appointment. We do our best to keep appointment timings but sometimes the unavoidable does occur. If a clinic is running late we will let you know and offer an alternative if you cannot wait to be seen.

Telephone Triage

If you need to be seen urgently that day and there are no appointments available, the nurses run a telephone triage clinic where they will triage your ailment and then advice on further care or offer an appointment with the doctor. The telephone triage runs every morning; you need to call reception between 0800-1000 hrs and give your name and telephone number to be put on the triage list for the nurses to call in due course.

Home Visits

Patients are requested to telephone before 0900 hrs if a visit is required that day. Emergency visits only, will be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls. Please remember that several patients can be seen at the medical centre in the time that it takes to do a home visit.
