Ministry of Defence Police

The MOD Police Force, in common with all other police forces, is responsible for the prevention of crime, the detection and arrest of offenders if a crime is committed, and the protection of life and property. The policing and protection of MOD establishments and the security of crown property are, however, the prime reason for the existence of the Force and particular emphasisis therefore placed on protection of crown property.

Each MOD detachment is under the local control of a Senior Police Ofcer who, at Kineton, is a Sergeant. The Senior Police Ofcer is required to consult and advise the Commander Kineton Station, on all matters affecting the policing, safety and security of his station.

MOD Police at Kineton always need the help of the public, and this includes the occupants of families quarters. They are here to help you, so help them to help you, by reporting any suspicious activity or incident at the earliest opportunity.

The Police can be contacted at their Admin Area office, which is manned 24 hours aday. Extension 3506 in a non-emergency situation or Extension 2222 emergencies only.

Council Refuse Collection/Recycle Bins

Council general waste and recycle bins are now at each property. Collection on Wednesdays.

Bulky Waste Collection Service

The Local Authority operates a pre-paid service (minimum 6 items). CarillionAmey will pass on details of the service provided when you move in.

In addition to the dustbin and bulk rubbish collections, occupants of families quarters can get rid of household items, scrap metal, waste oil and ‘do it yourself’ rubbish by delivering it to the Warwickshire County Council disposal centre at Princess Drive, Leamington Spa, or to the Stratford on Avon District Council disposal centre on the Loxley Road at Wellesbourne. Families can also participate in a door step recycling scheme, bottles, paper, tins and textiles.

The collection is fortnightly.
