Larkhill Garrison Medical and Dental Centre
The Garrison Medical and Dental centres share a building which lies at the crossroads of The Packway and Willoughby Road. They are responsible for:
Medical Centre. The Medical care of serving military personnel and those families resident within two miles of the Medical Centre. Tel: 01980 845266.
The Dental Centre is only for serving military personnel.
Please register with us as soon as you arrive in Larkhill rather than waiting until a member of your family is unwell. Your medical records can then be requested from your previous GP. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive, primary healthcare service to Service personnel and their families in Larkhill.
All military personnel are automatically registered with the medical centre on arrival in Larkhill. Families, however, have the choice of registering at our practice or with a local civilian practice in Amesbury or Durrington. Please be aware that to take advantage of our facilities and particularly our service for urgent problems, you must be registered with our practice. You will also then be entitled to be seen at QEMHC Tidworth for an emergency appointment Mon-Fri 1630-1830 hrs only.
The medical centre is open between 0800 – 1230hrs and 1330 – 1630 hrs Monday to Thursday and 0900 – 1230 hrs and 1330 – 1600 hrs on Friday.
Appointments for families can be obtained via telephone or by visiting reception.
Surgery times are as follows:0800 – 1215 hrs Monday to Friday, 1330 – 1630 hrs Monday to Thursday and 1330 – 1600 hrs on Friday.The surgery is closed for meetings and training every Wednesday 1330 – 1445 hrs.
All soldiers and officers must report for sick parade at 0730hrs and will be triaged for appointments accordingly.
Out of Hours Service
Queen Elizabeth Memorial Health Centre (QEMHC).
Out of Hours services is provided by the Queen Elizabeth Health Centre Tidworth (QEHC) Monday to Thursday1630 – 1830 hrs and 1600 – 1830 hrs on Friday.
Outside surgery times and Out of Hours Service at QEHC phone 111 or 999 for an emergency.
We are delighted to offer vasectomy counselling, available by appointment where both partners are invited to attend.
We, as General Practitioners, are only too pleased to discuss Family Planning in all its aspects. There is a local Family Clinic available if desired based at the Amesbury Health Centre.
A clinic is held every Tuesday between 1800- 2000 hrs. Tel: 01980 623983.
The practice has its own well stocked Dispensary where most prescribed medications are held. If you require any medication on a long term regular basis, a repeat prescription can be arrangedthrough an appointment with your GP.
A slip can be completed, and your medication can be collected 24hrs later without the need of a further consultation.

The Larkhill Health Visitors are based in the Community Centre. They cover patients registered with the Larkhill Medical Centre and also Larkhill residents registered with the Barcroft Practice in Amesbury.
Health Visitors are part of the NHS community health service. They are qualified nurses with special training and experience in child health and health promotion. They work alongside doctors, nurses and midwives, and can provide help and information to all age groups.

Wednesdays 0900-1200 hrs
Open to all families resident to Larkhill.
Ante Natal Clinic
The Ante Natal Support comprises of a community shared care with the midwifery team and Salisbury District Hospital at the Medical Centre.
Wednesday all day by appointment only.
