Transport - Buses and Trains

By SPP Reporter

Edinburgh and the Lothians has a very efficient transport system and the city was among the first to introduce bus and taxi lanes designed to encourage the use of public transport. So motorists beware, as the removal of parked cars from these lanes, yellow lines and at unpaid parking meters, is swift and expensive.

There are regular bus services to and from all the major cities in the UK and the local services serve all SFA areas.

Waverley Rail Station offers a fast express service to London and the South and to all the major Scottish cities.

Edinburgh International Airport is only 20 minutes from the City Centre.

Lothian Buses serves the SFA estates with frequent buses into the City Centre.
