BFBS Scotland 98.5 FM

Forces Radio BFBS Scotland is live on 98.5 FM, across Edinburgh as well as on the BFBS App and online at www.BFBS.com 

BFBS Scotland broadcasts a mix of great music, Forces News, local news and interviews with, and for, Armed Forces personnel and their families. It’s a great way of keeping up with what’s happening on the patch.

Jim Gellatly presents the Breakfast Show on weekdays 06:30–10:00 hrs, with Mark McKenzie on the Afternoon Show 13:00 – 16:00 from the BFBS Studio in Dreghorn Barracks.

There’s also programmes that listeners will recognise from BFBS Radio Stations overseas.

The daily schedule includes live bulletins from The Forces News team, bringing listeners the top military stories from around the world.

BFBS Scotland also links to programmes from across the station’s network, such as the Totally Connected live from different locations around the Forces world from 1000-1300hrs every weekday –and Access All Areas, the slot for live dedications and messages, on air 10:00-13:00 hrs every Sunday.

Forces TV

As well as listening to BFBS Scotland you can watch Forces TV’s bespoke news programme, British Forces News. It’s broadcast live every weekday on Information TV at 06:30 hrs on Sky Channel 450, Virgin 277 and Freesat 165.

BFBS Apps

Keep up to date with military stories via the BFBS app and listen to BFBS via the BFBS Radio app. Both are suitable for Android and iPhones and can be downloaded free from Google Play or the App Store.

Volunteers

BFBS also offers the opportunity for you to take to the airwaves. If you’ve ever fancied being a radio presenter give them a call.
