SSAFA (Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmens’ Families Association)

A group of SSAFA In-Service Community Volunteers have been trained and set up to operate within the Service families’ community of Woodbridge. Their clearly stated aim is to give support to Service families within the military environment. The following are examples of roles volunteers may get involved in:

a. Practical support.

b. Befriending.

c. Help and assistance to families in the absence of either parent.

d. Support for irregular occupants.
