Refuse Collection

By SPP Reporter

In Suffolk Coastal there is an alternate week collection service for refuse and recycling, with the blue-lidded recycling bin and brown bin for compostable waste being collected one week, and the grey-lidded non-recycling bin collected the following week. The blue-lidded bin is for paper, cardboard, tins and plastic containers, the brown bin is for compostable food and garden waste, and the grey-lidded bin is for other household waste. Additional bins have varying prices – The cost of supplying a blue lidded or all grey bin is £24.50 per bin inclusive of VAT plus delivery and the cost to supply a brown bin is £22.00 per bin inclusive of VAT plus delivery.

Your bins should be out ready for emptying at 6am as collections start early, with normal collections taking place on Bank Holidays, apart from Christmas when any changes will be notified via a bin hanger.
