NYCC Youth Support Service works with young people aged 11-19 and up to 25 for those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.The main aim is to widen horizons for all young people.

The Youth Support Service provides a comprehensive programme of youth activities across Richmondshire. Within Catterick and Colburn area this is based around Risedale Youth Centre and Colburn Community Health and Recreation Centre.

Risedale Youth Club opens on a Tuesday evening from 1830 to 2030 hrs.

Colburn Youth Café is open on a Thursday and Friday from 1800-2030 hrs.

Offering a range of opportunities for young people to do something different or a chance to get involved with an organised project eg Distortion Street Dance Group, CYC arts, and Youth Forum.

Also offer the opportunity to take part in a variety of different activities including

• Football, indoor and outdoors, Table Tennis, Pool, Snooker and other sports

• Drama, Dance,Cooking/ Baking, Arts

• Babysitting Courses

• Trips and Activities in other venues

The Youth Support Service also supports vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.Targeted Youth Support is provided through our Targeted Youth Support Personal Advisors, who offer 1 to 1 support to a young person over a period of time.

Also provide information and advice, specialist support and targeted activities.
