The Voluntary Network

By SPP Reporter

All men and women serving in the Armed Forces, and their families, are eligible for help from the voluntary network of SSAFA Forces Help. With 5,000 trained volunteers throughout the British Isles, help is always close at hand. In your local volunteer you have a friend who is independent of the Service organisation, is sympathetic and knowledgeable, will treat your conversation as strictly confidential and can offer practical help and support or make financial grants when needed. The joint SSAFA Forces Help network does, of course, help tens of thousands of ex-Service people and their families every year and the work is increasing. Many Branches are constantly in need of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds.

The SSAFA Forces Help confidential Helpline can be contacted on 0800 731 4880.
