Bicester Army Education Centre (Bicester AEC) is situated in the Ambrosden Amenities Centre, right beside the Gymnasium. It is a lively centre of learning and advice and is open to Military personnel and their dependants along with MOD civilian staff.

Bicester AEC runs mandatory career courses for military personal as well as providing elective learning opportunities; personal development is high on the Army's agenda. The Education Officers within the AEC are happy to discuss learning and study opportunities available to individuals along with possible financial support through the Standard Learning Credits or Enhanced Learning Credit's Scheme.

The Elective Learning Centre (eLC), a suite of eight Internet terminals, is available for online study towards civilian certified courses. It is open to the whole of the service Community. The eLC Learning Centre Manager (LCM) can provide further guidance. The current fee for the European Computer Driving Licence/ITQ is £124.05. Maths and English qualifications are also available at no cost.

Advice is available from the Individual Education and Resettlement Officer (IERO) on all aspects of Resettlement. Resettlement Interviews, booked through Unit Resettlement Officers, are also held at Bicester AEC.

The Basic Skills Development Manager (BSDM) gives advice on learning difficulties such as dyslexia. All personal interviews are confidential and individuals are encouraged to seek advice from the BSDM directly.

Soldiers who wish to improve their skills in English and Maths up to GCSE level can attend courses which run within the AEC.
