All units within the Garrison are now served by the AGMC at the Aldershot Centre for Health (ACfH)

The ACfH is a four storey building with over 700 rooms on Hospital Hill in Aldershot. It is the largest primary care facility of its kind in the UK. The ACfH is a unique collaboration between the NHS and the Army to bring together a range of acute, secondary and primary health care services for the local population. AGMC is located on the second floor.

The ACfH offers limited on-site parking which is pay and display (this can be claimed back through JPA). There are a number of disabled and child friendly spaces. A designated 'drop-off' area near to the front entrance is also available.

Families are to register with local GP surgeries – there are a number within the Aldershot Centre for Health

Reporting Sick Procedures

Doctors Clinics

Sick Parade (for illnesses that have occurred in the last 24 hours): All Ranks: 0800-0930 hrs

Routine Clinics for doctor and nurses are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 0800-1630 hrs Wednsday and Fridays 0800-1215 hrs. The medical centre closes at 1700 hrs and and 16:00 on Fridays.

Medical Cover – Out of Hours

Please note emergencies should go straight to Frimley Park Accident and Emergency. Cases that can wait until 1830 hrs should do so and use the Out of Hours service as follows:

Public holidays – 24 hr cover

All calls will be triaged over the phone. You may be asked to go into the OOH clinic; this will only be instigated bythe clinical lead at the end of the consultation. In some cases this service may offer home visits, but this will only bedeemed necessary by the clinical staff.

Special Sick

If you become ill during the working day, inform your line manager who should notify the Medical Centre of your arrival.


Has a dedicated dispensary. Opening hours are the same as the medical centre. Repeat prescriptions need 2 days notice as a minimum to be processed. Forms are available at front desk and e-mail repeats are possible on arrangement with the Dispensary. Pharmacy closes for lunch 1300 -1400.

Genito Urinary Clinic

Army facilities are available at the Garrison Clinic, The Aldershot Centre for Health, Sexual Health Clinic Level 4 – 0300 300 2016.Patients are advised to phone for an appointment prior to attending.

Maternity Care

The District Midwife provides regular antenatal care. Pregnancy can be confirmed by obtaining a test with thepractice nurse, followed by an appointment with the Doctor, who will explain how the practice provides antenataland post-natal care. A Midwife Clinic runs on Thursday afternoons.


Physiotherapy is available once the Medical staff have referred you.

Results of Investigation

Patients will be notified should an abnormality be found between 1500-1600 hrs Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, however a personal call to the Medical Centre requesting results is acceptable.
